Terms of use

Kryptx Technologies LLC d.b.a. TrapLayer provides TrapLayer public threat observatory data, private customer intelligence feeds, and controlled honeypot telemetry for defensive security research.

Allowed Use

You may use TrapLayer public pages, reports, and customer feeds for defensive security, research, incident awareness, and internal risk analysis.

MVP terms
Legal operator
Kryptx Technologies LLC operates the TrapLayer product under d.b.a. TrapLayer.
Public observatory
Public pages are informational green data and may contain approximated, delayed, or sampled threat telemetry.
Customer feeds
Authenticated feeds are licensed to the customer tenant and must not be resold, republished, or redistributed unless your agreement allows it. Paid data tiers are yellow_1, yellow_2, yellow_3, and yellow_4 based on subscription level.
Source IP indicators
Yellow_1+ IOC feeds may include source IP addresses, ASN, country, confidence, TTL, observed activity, and recommended defensive action. Yellow_2+ payload-intelligence feeds may include payload hashes, payload family, derived command-pattern labels, extracted payload URLs/domains, delivery vectors, related source IPs, and behavior linkage for blocking, challenging, rate limiting, threat hunting, and security analytics. Yellow_3 may include full ordered behavior timelines with observed attacker steps. Raw payload bodies and red evidence remain excluded from automated commercial feeds.
Research use
You may reference public aggregate findings if you do not expose private customer data, raw event evidence, API keys, or canary tokens.

Restricted Activity

Do not use TrapLayer to attack, overload, reverse engineer, or attempt to compromise the service or third-party systems.

No exploitationDo not exploit lures, submit malware, harvest fake secrets at scale, or attempt to bypass access controls.
No real secretsDo not submit real credentials, production secrets, personal data, or regulated information into honeypot forms.
No feed abuseDo not share API keys, scrape feeds beyond entitlement limits, use feed data for unlawful targeting, identify or harass individuals, hack back, scan back, retaliate, or disrupt third-party systems.

Service Limits

TrapLayer is an intelligence source, not a complete security program or legal determination.

AccuracyClassifications, confidence, geography, ASN, and client-family labels are best-effort signals.
Indicator limitsSource IPs may represent VPNs, proxies, cloud hosts, shared networks, compromised systems, scanners, researchers, NAT gateways, or transient infrastructure. TrapLayer does not guarantee actor identity, personal attribution, exclusive control, or malicious intent for every IP.
AvailabilityThe service may be rate limited, changed, suspended, or interrupted for security, maintenance, or abuse response.
BillingPaid access, recurring billing, refunds, branded invoice copies, and account closure are governed by customer account settings, Stripe provider records where applicable, and Kryptx Technologies LLC operating procedures.

Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for how they operationalize indicators in their own environments. Source IP indicators should be used with TrapLayer confidence, TTL, observed behavior, customer telemetry, and proportional controls before permanent enforcement decisions are applied.

TrapLayer excludes raw headers, payload bodies, credentials, session identifiers, canary tokens, and replayable red evidence from ordinary commercial feeds. Red evidence remains restricted unless a separate written agreement, legal review, and approved process explicitly allow deeper evidence handling.

Changes

These MVP terms may be updated as TrapLayer moves from private testing to production. Material customer-facing changes should be reviewed before launch.
